Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 28 March 2026

Our Commitment

Flatsed is committed to ensuring that our website and services are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What We Do

  • Keyboard navigation: all interactive elements on Flatsed can be reached and operated using a keyboard alone. Skip-to-content links are provided on every page.
  • Screen reader support: we use semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and landmark roles to ensure screen readers can convey the structure and purpose of every page.
  • Colour contrast: text and interactive elements meet the WCAG AA minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
  • Focus indicators: visible focus outlines are provided on all interactive elements so keyboard users can always see where they are on the page.
  • Responsive design: the site works across screen sizes and supports browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
  • Alternative text: all meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.

Known Limitations

We are continuously improving accessibility across the platform. Some older content or third-party embedded components may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We are actively working to address these gaps.
